The Co-Op Baja: Artisan Home Decor & Custom Design Studio

The Co-Op Baja is both a home decor boutique and a design studio – the intersection of beautiful objects and genuine support for Mexican artisans.

The owners, Sam and Drew, are design connoisseurs who are incredibly friendly and helpful, whether you’re in need of a set of dinnerware or custom bedroom furniture. The boutique is a quaint space filled with pieces that have actual stories. Think: gorgeous ceramics and glassware, table linens, and even surf board bags (so pretty!) directly from artisans in Baja (local) and mainland Mexico. They have dishes, bowls, glasses, textiles, and other home accents that feel intentional and are unique! Every piece sold here comes with a direct connection to the people who made it.

The services go well beyond “typical” retail. Their design services combine modern aesthetics with traditional Mexican craft, which has a fresh, current feel and pieces can be purchased pre-made or you can sit down to order custom designs that are personalized to your needs. Whether you're furnishing a home, updating a rental property, or just looking for that perfect table setting, they understand how to blend contemporary style with authentic craft.

Prices reflect those of artisan goods, but you're not paying for decoration – you're paying for quality, thoughtfulness, and direct support to the talented artists who create the goods. That matters.

This is the kind of place that makes you think differently about what home decor can be and is one of my favorite spots in Todos Santos! The shop is truly so lovely.

In addition, Know Your Water Baja was started by Drew, an EPA-certified toxicologist and marine biologist. It’s a business that provides custom water filtration services in the area, as well as creates awareness around water scarcity and conservation.
