What is Cielo Pacífico?

Cielo Pacífico is a privately-owned, design-forward vacation rental bungalow home within Casa Hygge, a community of 13 ensuite bungalows in El Pescadero, Baja California Sur, Mexico. We offer stylish, comfortable, and independent accommodations perfect for couples, solo travelers, or anyone seeking an authentic Baja experience!

Casa Hygge is a thoughtfully-designed, private, modern vacation community full of beauty and relaxation. Located in El Pescadero surrounded by peaceful farmland, just minutes from the beach and Todos Santos, Casa Hygge comprises 13 individually-owned ensuite bungalows, each with its own character. Guests enjoy access to shared community spaces including a pool, game room, outdoor gym, and fire pit – creating a sense of belonging in a curated, intentional environment.

How many guests can stay in the bungalow?

Two adults and one young child max.

How do I book Cielo Pacífico directly?

You can book directly by sending Casa Hygge an email with your desired dates at bookings@casahyggemexico.com. Direct bookings give you the same great experience without platform fees! Please view our booking page for other options, including Airbnb and Vrbo, if you prefer to go that route.

What's included in the price?

The nightly rate includes fresh bed linens, bath and beach towels, wifi, utilities (water and electric), kitchen that is stocked with cookware and appliances, private rooftop with ocean and mountain views, access to Casa Hygge's shared amenities (pool and sun loungers, game room, outdoor gym, fire pit, lovely grounds and gardens), and a customized welcome book with house information and local recommendations.

Sure is! We love to cook and have the kitchen stocked for preparing your own meals. There is a two-burner electric stove top, toaster oven, toaster, blender, coffee maker, electric kettle, mixing bowls, cutting boards, chef's knives, serving utensils, and even popsicle molds! The bungalow has four place settings (plates, bowls, multiple drinking glass styles) so you can even host a few guests. There are also other essentials – wine opener, cocktail shaker and shot glasses, drink stirrer, milk frother, can opener, and more. Even birthday candles if you have a special occasion while you're visiting!

Can I drink the water?

Yes! Not the tap water, BUT there's no need to go out and purchase your own large jugs of drinking water. Each bungalow at Casa Hygge comes with an ingenious drinking water dispensing system that is easy to use and hidden inside the kitchen cabinet. Purified water jugs are provided for you, so when you need a fresh jug, you'll just need to send a message!

Are bed linens and towels provided?

Yes! Quality bedding, bathroom towels, and pool / beach towels are provided. No need to take up precious space in your luggage with bringing your own!

Can I schedule housekeeping during my stay?

Yes, housekeeping can be arranged during your stay for a fee. Please message your host during your stay to book this service.

Can I rent the bungalow for a month or more?

Yes! Absolutely. Please reach out to bookings@casahyggemexico.com with any extended stay inquiries. Because we are set up with a fully-functioning kitchen, excellent wifi, and ample storage space for clothing (and more), longer stays are a breeze. Booking directly will save you money (vs booking with Airbnb or Vrbo).

Can I reserve more than one bungalow?

Yes! The bungalows are great for family or friend trips, bachelor(ette) getaways, retreats, etc. For ease in booking multiple bungalows, please email bookings@casahyggemexico.com with your dates and other requests. You can also peruse our Group Stays page for more information.

Can I reserve the entire Casa Hygge property for my group?

YES!! We love these types of bookings – it's so fun to see an entire group of friends or family together. Please inquire early, as we do get booked. Email bookings@casahyggemexico.com. You can find out more information on our Group Stays page.

What's your cancellation policy?

For direct bookings made through Casa Hygge: 100% is refundable up until 15 days before scheduled arrival. 50% is refundable for 14 to 2 days before scheduled arrival. 0% is refundable after 2 days before scheduled arrival. Dogs are allowed on a case-by-case basis. We typically say no, but may consider if your dog is small, very well-trained, and doesn't climb on any of the furniture. Please inquire with bookings@casahyggemexico.com prior to booking if you're interested in bringing your four-legged friend!

Where do I fly into to get to Casa Hygge?

Los Cabos International Airport (SJD) is recommended. It is a 60-minute scenic highway drive from the airport to Cielo Pacífico / Casa Hygge! La Paz International Airport is also an option, but tends to be more expensive.

Do I need to rent a car?

Yes! The area is not very walkable, so you'll want to have wheels and 4WD or AWD is recommended. The roads are very bumpy, rocky, and many are dirt. We recommend Cactus (locally-owned and excellent) or Enterprise and splurge on the full coverage, just in case.

Is there parking at Casa Hygge?

Yes, there sure is! There is one dedicated, covered spot per bungalow. Cielo Pacífico is #5 and the parking spot is located on the left side when you pull into the main Casa Hygge entrance.

How do I find Cielo Pacífico / Casa Hygge?

Google Maps will bring you directly to Casa Hygge! Upon booking the bungalow, you will receive specific driving instructions, too. Be sure to follow the instructions, but if you need, your hosts will be available via text or call if you have any questions.

What if I need assistance?

Anything you may need help with, from an injury to a recommendation, the owners of Casa Hygge are just a text or call away and are very quick to respond. You receive their contact info a few days before your arrival.

How do I exchange my currency for Mexican pesos?

It's recommended to stock up on Mexican pesos before your trip to avoid higher exchange rates! Inquire with your bank or look for your local money exchange. This will prepare you for the toll road (around $120 pesos) from the airport to Casa Hygge. It's also useful for tipping. If you didn't have a chance to exchange currency before your trip, the airport has a station. There are very few ATMs in Todos Santos (there used to be only one!) – just do a Google search. And, if you need help, just message your hosts!

How close are you to nearby towns?

We're located in El Pescadero, which is a quaint town with lovely local restaurants, a grocery store, convenience stores and gas stations, a few small boutiques, live music, and a hardware store. These are all within around 5-minutes of driving. Todos Santos (Pueblo Magico) is a 15-minute drive. It's the big draw to our area with a picturesque town, top-rated restaurants and "mom and pop" gems, great boutiques and handcrafted souvenirs, specialty stores (organic grocery, liquor, etc), and so much more. Los Cabos is around an hour away and that's its whole own world of hotels and all-inclusive resorts, tourist-y destinations, amazing restaurants, beaches, etc. La Paz, which is on the Sea of Cortez (Gulf of California), is around an hour and 15-minutes away. It's a rugged and awesome city with access to incredible ocean activities (snorkeling, day boat trips, fishing), great restaurants, hotels, shops, and much more.

Can I bring drinks to the pool?

Absolutely, but please, no glass. We've provided plastic wine glasses and cups for using poolside.

How close are you to the beach?

We're very close to a few beaches! The most famous beach in the area is Cerritos Beach, which is excellent for year-round surf for beginners to advanced surfers, swimming, boogie-boarding, SUP-ing, lounging, volleyball, beach combing, and restaurants / bars. Please note that it's the only consistently swimmable beach in the immediate area. It's less than a 10-minute drive from our bungalow! San Pedrito is very close (around a 15-minute walk or a few minutes to drive) and is for more advanced surfers. La Pastora is around a 30-minute drive (you have to drive through Todos Santos) and is for advanced surfers. There's also a lovely public beach at Hotel San Cristobal (about a 10-minute drive) that is great for walking or lounging to soak in the sun or watch the sunset.

Are there any essential items you recommend bringing?

We have a must-have packing list, including: sunscreen, SPF lip balm, hat with coverage, canvas bag or two (for groceries or beach days), lightweight scarf and / or long-sleeve layer for cooler evenings, dual-purpose footwear (for bumpy terrain and going out to dinner), book(s), and notebook.

When do you recommend visiting?

Well…every time of the year is so pleasant – it just depends on what you're looking for! We have on average 350 days of sunshine each year. Late October through March is the "high season", which consists of mild weather (warm days, cooler evenings), great surf, and an abundance of travelers over the holidays. This is also the time to see whales breaching from nearby beaches (or even your private rooftop) and swim with whale sharks! April to June are less busy than the high season, and a bit cooler. Warm during the day and a bit colder at night (light jacket or sweater weather). July to September or early October can be extremely hot (especially September), but that makes the ocean and pools all the more enticing. This is the slow season and wet season, so there are some businesses that close until October.

Do you have recommendations of what to do in the area?

Absolutely! It depends on what you'd like to do, but we can certainly make any recommendations for activities to do, restaurants to check out, boutiques that are a must-see, or day trips that are like nothing else you've experienced. Nomad Chic is what happens when someone really understands both style and community. Located in downtown Todos Santos, this boutique spans multiple rooms and levels – every single space merchandised to perfection.

The inventory is thoughtfully curated: unique Mexican clothing and jewelry, home decor that actually makes you want to redecorate, beautiful coffee table books that belong on display, sunglasses, candles, body care, bedding, and an array of gifts for people who are hard to shop for. They've thought about every detail…from small things like ceramic dishes, napkins, and glassware that elevate everyday moments to very unique jewelry, clothing, and other accessories.

The vibe is upscale but accessible. It doesn't feel intimidating; it feels welcoming. The staff is genuinely friendly. Prices are mid-range, which means you can actually browse and find something special without guilt.

This is the kind of boutique that works whether you're looking for something specific or just wandering to see what catches your eye. Either way, you'll leave with something special! (It’s probably my favorite boutique just to wander around in Todos Santos.)
